Remember This Day – A Divine Intervention

I was reminded of a simple truth today.  In the midst of the the crashing stock markets, the universe whispered to me, “You are the only one getting in the way of what you wish to create.” It wasn’t that I was being ungrateful for the amazing life I’ve been given. Nor was I arrogant about the fortunate state of grace that I live in.  Really, it was that I’d fallen back into a sort of spiritual amnesia.  It happens to me regularly, and I’m convinced it’s the natural state of the human being – to forget what an amazing experience this life is. I had forgotten who I am.

Then suddenly I was reminded of my divinity by a stranger.  I had no preparation for the message the stranger delivered. But, it caused me to sit up and take notice. We’re given reminders of grace all the time.  It could be a homeless person or a surly barista at the coffee shop.  It doesn’t matter what form the angel takes, the message is always the same.  “Remember who you are, a child of the univese with the wisdom of the ages at your disposal. You are the only one getting in the way of what you wish to create.  Open up. Trust.”

Remember this day. It will never happen again. Everything about today is divine.
