Climb Every Mountain – Boston 2016

“Climb every mountain. Ford every stream. Follow every rainbow, till you find your dream.”

I’ve just registered for the San Francisco marathon in July. The SF race is a Boston qualifier. It’s also one of the hardest marathon courses in the world. In order for me to qualify for Boston, I’ll need to run SF in 3 hours and 30 minutes. The challenge is that the fastest marathon I’ve run to date is 3 hours and 50 minutes. I need to shave 20 minutes off my time. Not a big deal, right?  I only need to run 20 of the 26 miles a minute faster than I ever have – on one of the hardest courses in the world.

How will I do it?  Hills! Lot’s of hill training. Watch out Boston. I’m coming for you!
